This poem poured out of me while submerged in the healing waters of these snow capped mountains here in western Colorado. Inspired by deep sisterhood, marriage and the rising of a new day, I allowed the waters to pull these words out of me. ❤️
dance, the seven sacred circles - we dance, new life awake before sunrise
drum, drum drumming alive the sea, the sea new turtle rising - drumming alive, the sea new life arriving holy, before the sunrise, She held me, cracked and dying, calling to the sea, she feeds me salt and coral reef, spiral shells where shorelines meet, new life arriving here, beneath my feet, and in my marrow and in these bones, this blessed Sparrow, she holds me cracked and dying, before the sunrise, calling to the sea, the sea!, new life arising turtle shell and coral reef -- rhythms of death and dying - I am unveiled by this holy light a walking, weaving turtle woman, surrendering to the sea the sea, I am a white buffalo prophecy, antlered spider woman weaving, I am the full moon weeping, golden water pouring, this liquid light, I am reborn undone, enormous and enthroned in a hundred petaled headdress of soft white eagle feathers, I am a single plume, born of desert and clapping thunder, here, I am Corn Woman's walking prayer, humming awake the holy light praising this holy light born of I am - a path of trembling, tiny turtles tumbling towards the sea, there is infinitude of Light arising, echoing, deep deep inside of me
I am the Light praising Life, this miracle moment in the heart of Water's Mystery - I am alive, a life, a living fluttering bird woman breathing Light so Dance, my daughter, dance, the sun is rising on this new day Drum, my daughter, drum the fire bear tobacco pipe prayer for Life is finding its way, Alive - Earth is being reborn is cracked and pouring Light into the soft leafing petals of our open feet as we touch her broken blue shell cracked and birthing sea soils and silent seeds from an ancient innocent dimension, we are being reborn. //I am a memory in Earth's sacred dreaming.
