Before there were houses of worship, there were stones.
Before there were prayers, there were spirits.
Before there were formulas or rituals, incantations or offerings, there was the raw feminine power of earth, the feminine origin.
The life giving, food growing, shelter offering, eternally holding, feminine force, woven into the mountains and rivers and circular nests of birds.
I am being asked to let go of a very significant relationship in my life.
As I release, I can see an entire complex of psychic and energetic architecture, living in the mind and heart of my being, also crumble away. It’s as if an invisible, energetic house was built over the ancient stone altar of my truth, and I almost (almost) forgot her living foundation in me.
Like the many ancient sites that have been covered over, commandeered and capitalized on by churches, temples and steeples of modernity, our own feminine truth can be covered over by a matrix of manipulation, which hungers for that raw feminine power, desires to overtake and feed on it, rather than honor it.
As I watch this inner matrix crumble, as a result of my own courage and action, I am liberated in the return to my freedom and my truth. I am again nourished by the living magnetism of my grateful spirit and feminine flowering.
The journey of one woman is the journey of many women, as the same principles govern the way water flows, all over this diverse living earth.
As I release an old story, I am liberated in the return of my truth. As I release the baggage, my spirit has more space to breathe, create and sing.
Before there were priests to make the water holy, there was spring water, made holy by the Earth herself.
Before there were congregations, there was mist.
Before there was time, there was eternity.
